From a design on paper to an award winning product - Cre8 engineering your design concept

Toby Nowland approached us with his exciting new concept of a folding peg stool. With a challenging and exciting new design idea, we took the concept design from drawing to completed product. Toby's desire to study Industrial Design stems from his interest in art and design, objects and structures, and the curiosity in how they function. This led Toby to his first award at the Australian International Furniture Fair in Sydney. Toby was presented with the Green Award and his stool was described by judges as a “smart use of sustainable material”. The Peg Stool is made from EchoPanel, a material produced from recycled and recyclable PET. It’s constructed with a flat panel and timber pegs made from Tasmanian Oak. No adhesives needed. The fold around ‘tabs’ become pockets, where magazines and newspapers can easily slide into, increasing the stool’s usefulness.
